Growing up in Suffolk and London I am so proud of where I come from and believe we must take strides towards a brighter future for all.
As a doctor it’s been a joy contributing and working in local healthcare institutions, including King’s College and Lewisham Hospitals, and Springfield Hospital as part of South West London and St. George's Trust. Training at the esteemed South London and the Maudsley Trust, and then the prestigious South London Forensic Psychiatry Programme, I help patients from South London as a medical doctor and hospital forensic psychiatrist, and speak across the UK on how we can improve our health.
My political journey reflects a commitment to the community, fighting against the closure of GP practices, speaking up against antisocial behaviour, campaigning successfully against the BMA's refusal to accept the Cass Review, running for parliament and being elected as a Councillor in Wandsworth. As an NHS doctor and part of the public sector workforce I know the good of government and public service, but I also know first hand the challenges of our institutions.
In addition to my political and healthcare background, my experience running a small business allows me to understand and speak to and up for the the aspirational entrepreneurs and businesses shaping our country's economy.
My track record includes successfully navigating challenging elections in South London and campaigning for a better Suffolk. I love meeting people and trying to understand their concerns better in order to speak up for local voices that have gone unheard.
My unique blend of skills includes a scientific background, mental health expertise, and medical and political experience. I am proud to speak up for people on the issues that matter from crime to housing, free speech to health, and more.
